Hi Dave (and Greg)! I disassembled the front brakes on my swedish -73 Variant (= Squareback) last week. To my surprise each caliper had four small pistons instead of the more common two big pistons. OK - that«s fine with me. I have got the impression that a four-piston (four-pot!) system is somewhat more sophisticated than the ordinary two-piston type, but I«m not sure what«s to gain. More brake power? Can anyone tell if there is any advantages with this? Dave, I had no idea that it was a "very rare" option. Cool!
