RE: fuel injector questions

Don't worry about the needles not sticking out. The best way to check them is to test spray them. There should be a ground wire for the fuel pump on your wire harness in the engine compartment, which when grounded, will pressure the fuel system. With the key turned on, the ignition system disarmed and the injectors out (connected to the fuel lines still), you can turn the engine with a wrench until each injector "fires". Look for a cone-shaped spray from each injector which is good. Dripping between "fire" cycles is not good.

Subject: fuel injector questions

should the 'needles' really be sticking out of the injectors as shown in
Bentley?
mine don't on the one side that i've taken out (had a burst fuel hose on this
side and after trimming it and whatnot, it's been running like crap).
i think some stuff maybe got in there and blocked them? but on looking in,
there doesn't seem to be anything blocking them.
can air be blown through them to clean them, or am i destined to run on two
and two half cylinders for a while?
fuel injector cleaner (techron) hasn't really done anything to help)

thanks guys

sonny
