type 4 engine into '73 squareback

Hello there Type-3 people.

I was wondering, how difficult would it be to put a t4 2 litre into a   
'74 squareback. I'm going to buy a t3 in the next few months anyway, but 
I just wanted to know what could be done to give the car a bit more 
power. I want a bit more power but I'm trying to work out the way to get 
the reliability of a stock engine.
