The cable comes out of the body near the front of the tranny and passes back to the engine inside a flexible tube which is important to have. That tube ends at the front cover tin of the engine, leaving the cable to travle a few inches furthur to the throttle valve arm on the left side of the intake air distributor. That arm has a pair of holes for a pin which has a hole in its side which the end of the throttle cable passes through. A small bolt in a threaded hole in the end of the pin clamps the cable end in the pin. The other end of that pin has a grove which a spring hooks around, and the other end anchors to the rear on a bracket that stands up from the rear mounting stud of the auxiliary air distributor. There may be a picture somewhere in the Bentley manual, but the best thing may be to just look at a car that has all the parts intact.
