I am assuming you have the stock carbs on your baby. On the side of each carb is a head of a bolt. To see it you must remove the air cleaner. When I had this problem a few months ago, this bolt had completely fallen out and fuel was spilling out all over, it was a close call due to the fire potential. But previous to it falling out, I had smelled gas but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I posted this problem on the list and received several personal mails back, maybe the replies got on the list too, that this had happened to a few other people too. So check your bolts and see if they are loose.
