Everytime I drive this car I get a strong smell of gasoline.

Greg,

Although it could be a very tiny leak anywhere, I had a similar problem
with my '67 SB. I am assuming you have the stock carbs on your baby.
On the side of each carb is a head of a bolt. To see it you must remove
the air cleaner. When I had this problem a few months ago, this bolt
had completely fallen out and fuel was spilling out all over, it was a
close call due to the fire potential. But previous to it falling out, I
had smelled gas but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I
posted this problem on the list and received several personal mails
back, maybe the replies got on the list too, that this had happened to a
few other people too. So check your bolts and see if they are loose.
