[T3] Old and Tired Is Back

Hi Folks, 

I am indeed back - after a summer assignment with the US Army. Old and Tired is still moving down the highway. Albeit with all the speed and agility of  a go cart running on bad gas. She started out the summer running well and getting 30 mpg. I have put some 600 miles per week on her since the first week of June. Now, She is certainly old and tired. She sounds fine - but just lacks the power of yester year. Tonight - I will start the basics of maintenance: plugs, points etc. Any input is certainly welcome. 

I am searching for a speedo and tachometer. The odometer part of my speedo stopped working - any ideas? I would like to replace the clock with a tach. I will keep everyone posted. 

I appreciated the comments about the VWT article - I had dual carb's on a old beetle I use to own. It would hardly started at all in the winter. It was a pleasure when I purchased old and tired when she was young and vibrant she always start on the first crank.
