I've seen one of Jonce's, in the box. It's basically a little kit of bracket and hinges that lets you do a funky trick with the rear seat. Typically the rear Squareback seat bottom pivots forward & up 90degrees, hinged at the front. The seat back then leans forward and lies flat. Now, if I've got it right, this kit basically lets the rear seat bottom kind of lift up and move forward, maintaining its original orientation, and extending the flat cargo area a bit farther. I gather that the front seats have to be moved all the way forward to do this. So, the seat back lies down in the normal way, but the seat bottom remains right-side-up (and totally in front of) the lowered seat back. I've also heard this called the "sleep-in extender." Speaking of camping... I've had this twisted fantasy of taking one of those small, square splitty Westy pop-tops and grafting it onto the top of a Squareback. I can't explain the fascination; guess I'm just tweaked... -Greg A Beetle A Bus Couple of Squarebacks ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
