Check your timing first just to see where it has been set then remove
the distributor. You will find that the dist clamp has been over
tightened and the clamp is deformed where the spacer sleeve pushes
against it. Straighten it, it will be obvious what you need to do.
Then reinstall it with a 6mm flat washer between the spacer sleeve
and the clamp; this will prevent a recurrance. There should also be
a spring washer between the nut and the spacer sleeve.

Then you can reassemble and go back to re-timing your engine.
