RE: [T3] Hot engine, probably timing

Thanks everyone for the quick help.

I called the mechanic and told him the problem. He told me that he had to
retard the timing because of the heat and pinging. He said in the winter
we'd
be able to advance the timing more to get more power and not have to worry
about
the heat build up. This all kind of confuses me since the engine did have
more
pull and didn't run as hot before I took it in when it was running on stock
ignition. I'm thinking of being a pain in the ass and stopping by to get a
better explanation however, I do need to double-check my oil sender numbers
to
make sure what I have is exactly the correct sender (the hole, as I recall,
seems smaller than my previous sender, but I'll check...).

Jeezus Crimeny, if I had a second car I would've done all this work myself
but... All because of these damned carbs...who says they're easier than FI?
I
sure don't think so :(
