The one with two plastic caps is from a 72-3.  The extra port relates 
to crankcase ventilation and has nothing to do with MT vs AT.

This one is pre 68.

68-71 looks just like the 72-3, but lacks the smaller of the two 
plastic plugs.

Yes and no, you can interchange if you get all the right parts.  68-
71 mate with an oil filler pipe that has a branch that connects up to 
the breather, the others do not.  72-3 requires the 72-3 intake air 
distributor with the special passage to put some suction on the case 
and special heads that have breather tubes on them..

The Al stand is the same for all, but you need the special tool to 
remove the special bolt way down under the large plastic plug.  That 
"bolt" must be tight and sealed, or it WILL leak oil.

I have all these parts, including the right parts for a 69, but you 
now need to decide which year you wish to end up emulating.
