I may be totally wrong about this, but I have seen some 1967 1600 "A" version TIII's with bullet front turn signals. They were not 1968 models either. The A version also had different rear reflectors - not chrome, but painted - and the red bezel was not plastic. Furthermore, the A lacked chrome in a lot of other places (no moustache chrome on the front hood, no side body chrome amongst others), had a single carbed engine, did not have a clock and had a different steering wheel than the standard model. There are some other things missing from this list, but perhaps I am wrong. A couple of years back there was an issue of VolksWorld with a Norwegian Nothback that was an A type. The article listed a bunch of stuff about what was "missing" from the car as new. I will have to try to find the magazine. I think it was the same issue that had an article written by Andy Russo (fellow T3 listee and President of the OZ T3 Registry) about a Volkswagen meeting Down Under.
