Re: Rear hood scripts

When I had my 69 Fastback, I we in the market for a new rear
decklid...at the Swap meet at Maple Grove, I came up with one I hadn't
seen before and haven't since...and I've never heard anyone mention it
here...it was definitely a 68-69 decklid and the script read VW 1600 TD

It that an odd ball?? I don't have it any more but I wish I'd kept
it...I was told by a T3 vendor at the show that it was an English only
model and he said they may have imported them to Canada...any one know
about this one?? Just curious.
