The ongoing kudos of the Pertronix Ignition'

I have been running pertronix ignitions in my VWs for a few years now, and I
will personally never go back to standard points.  My cars have been snowed on,
power washed, and more without a problem.  As far as increased performance
goes, I cannot say.
