Re: 1967 Notchback For Sale

I was in germany for 3 years and got my Notch from there.. You right!!
but try to get spare parts from any store..900DM ($400.00 with a good
mark rate) for ONE front fender, used!, 240 DM for a stock muffler (got it from the states at a price of $145.00, shipping included. and it was
made IN GERMANY! I do not understand. Went to a VW Dealer and there was
no knowledge of the kind of car i had.."never heard of it" was their
favorite phrase and "get those parts from the US". Junk Yards?.there is
no junk yards in germany..but a store like that you tell them
what you need and they go back there and get you an use part that you
do not know where it come from. Some about not too much space available ($$ the more space you have and environmental regulations) How much you pay for a clutch in Germany? or a stock carburetor? or even some windshield wipers. that
Bettlejuice want 49 DM!!! just because they were NOS...hmmmmm. Maybe
that is why they are so cheap..because the parts are kind of expensive
and hard to find... nothing against nobody but i brought the issue to
my german landlord and he smile and said " are they crazy or what??"
By the way, my landlord will do almost anything there is to do, because
like he always says " it cost to much to have somebody to do it"
other than that...Damn i miss Germany!
