Re[2]: Fuel Filter Postion Poll

True, but the gear box gets hot as well. Also, I use the second filter as a
visual check more than a filter and I'm in my engine compartment regularly,
usually keeping every thing clean and just checking connections (like the
alternator belt deflection). I'm not worried about faulty connections.
Besides, having to change/view the filter would be a total pain in the neck if
it were on the other side of the firewall. My fuel pump, on the other hand, I
would like to remove to help clean up the real estate on the top of the engine
so I may move the second filter later on. Right now I'm wondering what electric
fuel pump to use and pressure regulator (for carbs) that will give me trouble
free operation.

The less fuel connections in the engine bay , the better!!! .Try putting
the second filter next to the gearbox ,out of the heat, and potential
fire zone????
