Actually resistrictions to flow increase pressure, thet decrease volume.  
Try putting a type4 cooler on a type one, there is a 45 degree change, 
but a pressure drop of 30 lbs at high rpms.  This can be solved with a 
pressure adjuster put in the oil control hole.
