I used to have a 65 Beetle When I was in College and I drove it 36 miles to school and back every day...never a problem...well, there was one...when the little choke retaining pin (that little roll pin) fell out and my car was stuck at about 1/2 throttle...but I liked to think of that as cruise control...but I think that is more of a type 1 problem... :) mikey
