Or do you still have the FI? If you have carbs you should look at the chokes. If you have the FI, then I would guess that your pump is not delivering enough fuel at first. Since the pumps are quite expensive, I suggest that you replace the fuel filter (above the pump); it may be clogged. In the FI the pump runs all the time the engine is running.
