My FI 1600 eng is giving me problems when I try to start it after it has sat for quite a few hours. I haven't quite figured out if I'm giving it too much gas, not enough gas, or should you even give a FI eng gas to start it. After quite a few cranks it finally will idle. If It starts and I try to give it gas it'll die immediately. But after a while when I get it to start without giving it gas, if I let it idle for a few minutes it good. What can I do to remedy this and have it crank right up at any time? And does the electric fuel pump just prime the carb when you turn on the ignition? How exactly does it work? charles '69 fastback
