Oh well.... _________________________________ I went to the show yesterday. I froze my butt off, but I had a good time. I arrived about 9:30 after a very brisk hour and 45 min. ride in my T3 from Chapel Hill. The number of VW show cars was rather sparse, but there were a whole lot of people there selling parts and other goodies, esp. type III parts--more than I've seen in the past. I saw several T3 hoods, 2 fastback deck lids, a nice notch lid, a few cruddy doors, but alas, no fenders. Quite a few people were inquiring about T3 fenders and how much difficulty they're having finding them. I guess the moral is, grab 'em if you see 'em. I had my '66 squareback there. Someone had a nice white '68 (?) fastback outfitted with a nice empi steering wheel and other accessories. The only other Type III was a fairly good late model fastback for sale. I didn't inquire how much $. Numerous other cars were for sale there as well. I picked up a great deal for an excellent 6v LW/MW Blaupunkt radio to go in my squareback. Also a pair of Hella European taillight lenses for $10 and, in keeping with the on-going thread on chrome exhaust-pipe tips, I picked up an NOS (Roka Imports?) one from a guy who had 5 or 6 of them for T3s. Seems like everybody needs one of these nowadays. Everyone froze, but the crowd was large, the sellers numerous, trading brisk, and lots of people walking off with good parts. A good day to be a T3er. Chris Parker '66 Square
