Breather tube questions

This varies depending on what year you're talking about.  I'm gonna 
guess that this is the 68-71 type.  There is a steel tube coming down 
from the breather box; this is part of the box, brazed on.  There is 
a short stub of a steel tube that pokes up from the filler pipe.  
there is a medium length (~3") piece of fabric covered rubber hose 
that connects the two steel tubes.  What did you break, or what other 
year do you have?

Yes, ATF goes down the ATF dipstick hole.  Be SURE not to let any 
dirt in there.

Or do you have an earlier car that just has the rubber valve on the 
bottom end of the breather tube?  These can just be replaced.  I'm 
sure they are still available.
