Since your not into cutting, you probably won't like this idea...
but, I used the rear-deck in my fastback to install two Kenwood 5-1/4"
speakers. They look and sound good (partly thanks to the nice
interior slope to the roof of the fastback. However, cutting metal
can be a real pain in the butt. I probably woudn't have done it if
someone (previous owner) hadn't started and abandoned the project.
Whenever I get the motivation, I'll get some 4" speakers for use in a
fibergalss kick panel. That's about the best locations for complete
stereo sound in a fastback. I suppose you could also door mount or
center dash mount (but beneath the grill) a pair of high range
tweeters for the full effect.

Anyone have any ideas on good out of the way speaker locations? I'd
rather not cut into my door panels and don't like the center speaker.
Any ideas?
