Re: just curious

gidday mate

well it is a small world isnt it??i was starting to think that i was the
only person from this part of the world on this list.thank goodness im
not!!

you have obviously been following my hunt for working out wether or not my
notch has a late t3 floor pan on it or not.more on this later....

right now i have a problem with the notch.this morning after finishing
work(yes unfortunately i had to work night shift),i was driving home when i
noticed the red light on my dash was on very faint.i stopped and popped the
engine lid and checked the wiring briefly.everything seemed to be in
order.i kept on driving and i noticed the following things;

-red light flashed brightly when indicators were turned on
-at the same time fuel gauge needle lost all power and regained power
intermittently,when incators were flashing
-wipers would not work
-all lights and indicators were working

a bit of background here might help

-i had set the point gap and done the timing during the night
-i had also washed the car

the has been converted to 12volt but the wipers have remained at
6volt.recently i have discovered the speed adjusting knob for the wiper
speed control on my pushbutton dash and i have been leaving the wuper
button on the 'on' position and reducing the speed to the lowest possible
selection.i did notice that if i selected the wiper speed this way then the
red light would come on faintly.

also when i got home,i turned the car over and it started ok.when i had the
key on the 'on' position both the green, red and both indicator(dash)lights
came on faintly.my left front indicator doesnt work at the moment(possibly
a blown bulb)

sorry this is really long but im stumped.
