If you have already removed all the hex head bolts that you can find 
around the edge of the fan housing, then you will find that the two 
fan housing halves will still not come apart because there are two 
steel dowell pins that are holding it in place.  These pins are 
located one on each side just below the heater air exit ports (in the 
"armpits.")  There is a somewhat larger bit of metal in each place 
with space for both a bolt and a pin.

To separate the housing halves, just lightly tap a small cold chisel 
into the joint where the pin is.  This will act as a wedge and spread 
the halves apart.  Do this carefully, working from side to side until 
the housing comes apart.  One end of each pin will remain pressed 
into one of the fan halves.
