Re: gex engines


I've heard mixed reviews about Gex from the aircooled newsgroup.  As for 
hydraulic lifters it appears that if the engine wasn't originally engineered for
them then don't do it.  Granted, they make life a little easier by requiring no 
valve adjustments and are quieter running, but if you're insistent on them then 
get a Type IV that has them (not all T4s have them).

I am wanting to get a new engine for my squareback(deader than a door nail)
does anybody have any experience with them

I want to get the type 3 long block with hydrolic lifters counter weighted
crank and the balanced insides

any info would be most appreciated
