don't do it.......you'll regret it!!!!!! If you are thinking about squeezing a porche motor in your car pleeeeease think long and hard first. I once had this friend, lets call him Bob, who thought it would be really cool to have a porche 2.0 in his '68 fastback. So he fabricated some brackets to hold it in, did some riggin' on the flywheel and poof...Bob had his 2.0. You would think it would be a regular ol' grease lightening, but on the contrary, the beast was all torque. He was smokin rubber in first, second, and third but not getting anywhere (in other words, Betsy had no actual pick-up just a little chirpin). Now maybe if you were some super-dooper kinda cool guy who could jump buildings in a single bound and could get yourself a 914 tranny stuffed in there, you might actually get somewhere, but if i were you (not sayin that i know it all) I would work with what you've got. So frustrated Bob sold "Betsy" the fastback for a measly $700 and she has not been seen since. The End Moral of the story.........? Good luck sqr69 & Benny (69 squareback)
