ok libby....... You say you've got the "jitters". Most likely either in your fuel or electrical system. Check for vacuum leaks first (especially if it occurs during acceleration), then your basic electrical "type stuff".............timing.......points.....etc. These are things you don't need your snobby mechanic for. : ) About grinding into 2nd........Benny will absolutley not go into 2nd gear unless I am going less than 30 mph. I know that the whole thing is based on rpm.....but he doesn't care, and he's the boss. Be a friend to your car........if he is grinding he doesn't like it, don't force it. He'll love you more in the end.
