to add which is not a great deal. What year is your car anyway?

Firstly I know zip about German but I reckon that you are referring to 
Birch Green which has a paint code of L511 and this colour was 
introduced 7/62 so it isn't in the first batch of coliurs on offer 
however is a very early colour as far as we Type 3 nutters are 
concerned. I do have some info elsewhere but not sure. According to my 
1500 'S' colour code/interior book it was not available 8/64 but I 
cannot confirm this. I also know Volksword came out with a very 
extensive list of colours as used by VW's (of course) and if I dig it up 
I will tell all.
