'78 Square?!?

Well, wait now, 368 says '68...

But it's the "3"567 912 that throws me. My old '71 had 361 XXXX XXX (I
can't remember the numbers, I'll have to call the present owner).

The 4 digits in the second group shows that it would be PAST '68.

Greg, my parts book only lists production numbers up to '69, can you
give me any vin numbers AFTER '69?  Maybe that can help us.

As far as the Dasher, and possibly the other watercooled, didn't they
have a new numbering system? like my Corrado VWXXXXXXXXXXXX... It starts
with VW then a string of numbers with no spaces.

This Corrado is my first and only watercooled, so I don't have much
background.
