Re: buying type 3?

> How hard is it to find type 3 gas tanks?

Phil...it seems that I saw T3 gas tanks for sale in the Spring catalog from
Rocky Mountain Motorworks. I don't have the catalog with me now, but when
I go home tonight I will try to remember to check my information.

Anyone have a RMM catalog at hand to check to see if I am halucinating or not?

Frankly, I was surprised to see the T3 gas tank listed, so maybe that is why
I remember (or think I remember) seeing it. RMM also has another scarce item...
the molding trim for a T3. I've heard folks say these are hard to find.

When I was restoring my Squareback (which had sat out in a pasture on a ranch
for six or seven years) I removed the gas tank, took it to a shop that was
equipped to clean tanks, and paid 'em $l5 to do their tidy-bowl number on it.
Guess they did a good job since I haven't had any problems to date.

Best...
