Check out last months Volksworld > magazine for an example of a primo conversion. As I'm sure you're aware, the FI Type III's don't have an engine shelf and engine tin sealing the top of the engine from the bottom. So, if you wanted to convert a FI Type III to a Type IV with carbs, you would need an engine shelf and tin with a rubber seal. Is this what is typically done when converting? If so, what type of engine shelf was used? Did they use a bus Type IV engine shelf and tin, or was ti all fabricated? Also, what about the engine mounts? From what I can see, it looks like they are similar or even identical between the Type III and Type IV.
