Re: buying type 3?


Gas tanks are tough to find, as I have never seen an NOS or new tank.  As 
for rust, the only place I had trouble with any eaten through parts was 
in the front trunk, in the spare tire weel, on the sides near the 
bottom. It's a pretty easy spot to fix. You will probably find surface rust 
under 
the carpet in the rear trunk, and in the cabin if the seals are leaky.
