Same system, different injectors (1.7L vs 2.0L).
Even though the T3 FI is the D-jetronic that doesn't mean you can slap it
on a T4. The T4 has a better engineered engine than the T3 with its
external oil filter, hydraulic lifters, larger displacement ability, etc.
The intake/exhaust ports are different between the two as well. It would
be much easier to get a FI T4 (be it 914, Bus or 411/412) than trying to
adapt the T3 FI system.

Hmmmm, type 3 FI on a type 4 motor.....sounds like the stock 914 and 411/412.
Same D-Jetronic system, same bat time, same bat channel :-)
I've got a stock 914 1.7 MPC system on the 2.0 type 4 I'm getting ready to
drop in my square....looks like a great fit!
