>Pressure sensor that has been talked about in recent post. According to Ben >Watson's book, "How to tune and Modify Bosch Fuel Injection", and I >quote,"The most common symptom from a defective pressure sensor is a rich >running condition. ...Usually a simple resistance test of the coils is enough Awesome book! Watson goes on to describe the following list of things to check for poor mileage (which I interpret to virtually the same thing as running rich): "Perform the pressure-volume test. Inspect the circuits for the pressure sensor, cylinder head temperature sensor, trigger points and injectors. If these test out OK, then performe the injector flow test. If everything is satisfactory, something has been missed." Naturally, this assumes that Fuel Injection Diagnosis Step Zero has been performed: namely, the ignition system is confirmed to be in fine shape and tuned up.
