DONT DO IT!!! think about this a minuite... your dumping an unlimited (nearly) current source into a 6V battery (and a bad one at that) which can make it EXPLODE!! You can put hundreds of amps in there with a 12V battery!!! Aside from burning out your (irreplaceable) choke coils, your ignition coil, points, and any lights you forgot and left on or come on anyway (warning lights) Just not worth all the possible damage to your classic and personal injury. if your having 6v starting problems clean the connections, remember that its the same as a 12V system only twice the current. A relay in place of the ignition switch will also help. my 3 Cents1 keith
