Won't know till tonite. Haynes manual is there. Thanks for the explanation of the automatic choke. Yes, I think it works. It started right up for Gina this morning (she drove it to school happy happy) and it was relatively cool. >Good, it IS a mess trying to convert. >Right, but as you say, problem will be charging the 12V battery. >It might be worth checking into getting a solar charger for the 12V. >Check with RV places. Kinda cool, having a small solar cell on top, >you can tell people that IT runs the whole car! That would be cool... It reminds me of the time I worked at radio shack, and the solar powered car race came through town. They bought various things, and I was yakkking with the french team. I asked them "what they thought about the solar-powered steam driven car" that was a couple hours ahead :-> They bought it for a moment! It was hilarious... >I'll have to go check on mine. The front vents are covered with tape, because PO said when snow melted it leaked inside. He was in the process of investigating, so one of the vent ducts is off. I imagine it's the seals. It isn't rust holes. >There is some trick I remember, >just don't remember the trick for removing. I found the heat flap controllers. The red one on the left doesn't stay put. You press it, and heat comes in, and it is not the smelly stuff our bus has :-), but it won't stick, it springs back open. >I only have email at work, so expect some delays in answers, >especially on Fridays, and such. Some people take weeks (out of neccessity) to reply, others like me have a jack in their head at all times. Regards, James '69 Westy "We Made It!"
