The parts you are referring to are just called rod bearings.  Actually these 
are the "big end" rod bearings, and the ones in the small end sometimes need 
to be replaced, too.  I usually send the complete rod set to RIMCO for 
rebuilding: they will remachine the big end to size, after taking a bit off 
the mating face first, press in a new small end bearing, and bore the small 
end to size and to equal lengths for all 4 rods.  I think they charge $20 a 
set to do this.  I pay shipping.

A complete set of big end bearings should still be under $10.  They are 
available in std, and three undersizes for reground cranks.  Some people 
swear by original German bearings, but I have always been happy with the 
much cheaper Brazilian Metal Leve brand, which I understand is also OEM.
