Perhaps the auto has a 3 bolt torque plate and an auto-stick has a 4
bolt torque plate or vice versa. I think there is a difference and maybe
the book was referring to one or the other in error. Also if you install
a new case in an auto-stick box, you must remove the bottom case
mounting studs as you use longer bolts from the gearbox side, direct
into the case. Not that you would be using an auto-stick box anyway but
good to know these things all the same....
