One should also mention that the VW # for the same part is: 311 906 171. I know this because it is for my car Jason is so kindly helping locate this hard to find part. I need NOS or rebuilt if possible...because the valve was spewing gasoline all over my engine I cannot trust a used one. I was shown a cold start valve someone said was for 1970 but it looked completely different from mine. It could not connect to my system. My cold start valve is all metal...the one I was shown was plastic and metal....and where the one shown had only one hole for connection to the gas line....mine has two in the t-shaped contraption. So far in my search people have told me that the part is not available in the U.S. I wouldn't care if I had to ship it from Germany if I could just get the part....any help would be GREATLY appreciated....also...anyone who owns a '69 Fastback (Fuel-injected) who also lives in S. California state (San Fernando Valley area?)....I would be greatly interested in learning from and exchanging car quirks and information and such.... Becky '69 Fastback (Fuel-injected with modified cold start system) ....my car was purchased brand new in Port Angeles, WA in the beginning of January, 1970 as a clear-out from the previous year if that helps any... > > Text item: > > O.K.
