'65 Squareback brakes

Howdy,	
	I recently purchased a '65 Squareback in outstanding condition. My one
concern, which you have probably noticed, VW did not import squareback's to
the U.S. until '66. Therefore, I have a parts problem. My '65 has frt.drum
brakes with tapered roller bearings. A U.S. '66 has frt. disc. I thought
maybe a '65 bug with drum would match but, it has ball bearings. Does
anybody have any Ideas??? This is my first VW and I'm not up to speed on
all the details. I appreciate any help.
