I have never heard success trying this.

If you have an IRS or Automatic tranny, VERY important to use the rear
support.  There is nothing else to hold up the trany/engine except the
nosecone of the tranny.

I would try to trade this new motor for a universal case that has the
oil port in the bottom.  All T-3's can use this and can install all the
t-3 parts on it.
