With the air wrench >you don't have to hold the flex plate with anything. The pneumatic action does all the work. This is probably a good way to get it off, but do you use the same method to put it back on? I understand that it is difficult to be sure you have adequate torque with these and therefore it is a bad idea to use an air wrench to install a gland nut. I have never tried it. One friend that did many years ago had his flywheel come loose. I realize a sample of one means nothing. Does anyone else have consistent good results that they can share with us? If so, tell us what you do, what you use, air pressure, etc. Jim --------------------------------------------------------------------- Melissa Kepner Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org jadney@vwtype3.org Laura Kepner-Adney Madison, Wisconsin ---------------------------------------------------------------------
