I work at a dealer and have sold several Bug and Bus engines in the last 3 years. (T 1 style) In fact, one of the guys I work with had a call a couple of weeks ago for a 1964 Bug engine. VOA did not have one in stock, but was willing to build one. The air cooled and water boxer Vanagon engines are even kept in stock at the dealer I work at. I have not checked the availability of T3 engines. The draw back to buying a VW factory reman is the core. If the list price on the engine is $1285, the core is $1385. This is to ensure that VOA gets a core that can be rebuilt back... See ya! Scott
