Maybe this swirling is needed on some of these newer cars. The squealing could be a side effect of the pad and caliper design that promotes a harmonic. ??? Just a WAG (wild-ass guess). He had just got the front rotors back from getting them turned and was using an air drill with a tool attached on the faces of the rotors. I asked him what he was doing and he said he was "swirling" them to keep the pads from squeeling...
