I would agree with Jim here. The attachment from the hook to the shaft is very
good. The only part I have seen fail is the hook itself. My hook wore through
in the valley of the hook where the eye of the cable rests when you engage the
clutch. The Cable falling off thing is what prompted me to drill two very small
holes on the opposite sides of the hook valley and run some safety wire through
both holes. This allowed me to keep the cable in place without having my Wife
hold the cable while I climbed under the car and put that butterfly nut on the
other end of the cable.
