But...my car is a 64 Notch, and his is build after 69 ( long nose ). > >Question : will this windshield fit ? > >Tim Opdencamp Tim... yes, you can put the late windshield in your '64. I believe that the windshield shape never actually changed in the type 3 (others...am I correct???). I replaced the cracked windshield in '70 Square with the one from my '68 Fastback parts car & it was the easiest windshield swap I had ever done (vs. american cars). The only difference you may encounter should/could the be presence or lack of holding strips for the headliner, under the windshield seal itself. My Square didn't have them, my Fastback did. I left em' in place & swapped the seal & window right in. It was supposed to be temporary, as I didn't have any winshield sealer at the time & I was goin' to take it back out & seal it. I didn't have to! I made it all the way thru fall & winter without any leaks. What can I say... I'm lazy!! I would recommend using the sealer anyway, though! Hope this helps...
