A couple thoughts

Stock position, where I have them, although I didn't make exact measurements
there close, ask one of our Aussie freinds if you want it exact,

No chrome strip opens a few opportunities including the rear of the rear fender,
where most identifying emblems are found.

Want dechromed? how about painting them body color and use them, alot of modern
cars are doing this, my 88 RX7 does this and it looks slick, and you can always
strip the paint off if you want to retain their value.

PS: I also have a "fuel injection" emblem in VW script below the Volkswagen
emblem on the rear deck lid.  This prompts many comments like " they had FI way back then??"
