Thanks for the info, and then some! I had no idea technical German was
different than "normal" German (I have a friend who speaks German and two
cousins who *are* German so I am aware of the different dialects). I must say,
I am envious that the Europeans emphasize multi-lingustics in their schooling --
I wish the US would wake up. But, I deviate from the topic at hand...
Oh yeah, I live in Portland, Oregon (Californians, you DON'T pronounce the 'e'
:p""" ) which is part of the Great Northwest in the USA (the 45th Parallel
bisects the state, if that helps).

heck, the internet is international ain't it. The problem however,
is that 80% of
the people on the net are based in the US and they never put down
where they are.
