hey pat, toby was right if your rear is really pooped out or dead have it looked at by a pro. but if its just a stock setting and has sagged over 20-30 years than no biggy,( every thing saggs when you get older). but do check it out remove the torsion bar cover plate and remove the inner and outer sping plate bushing. alot of times they are worn and you can replace the rear bushings, then reset the spring plates the same as in the front if need be to raise or lower. good luck with what ever you decide. about that hard covered accessorie binder ive made a couple of copies in the past for a few vw perv friends so its no big deal. what ill do is have a few copies burned and let you know how much for a copy minus shipping.sound good?? ill let you know after i make a few. also about stiffer shocks,i still use stock with not a problem but i do have to replace the front rubber snubbers every so often. about the variant script im pleased that you have made an effort. i do have a couple of good used but for this restoration im very interested in a near perfect to n.o.s. please keep your eyes peeled for such a beast. thanks jonce at strtbug@ibm.net 66 variant squareback 66 sunroof bug 56 single cab
