a couple of years back i piced up a book with a bunch of accessories for vws not just type three, but some cool ones for t-3 like: in 1963 technical bulletin 1st supplement 1963 edition. reinforced bumpers for for type 3 except models 343 and 345. basically overriders for t-3sthe set of parts were available under part no. 311-021-021. i have the instructions for install as a dealer option. some of the other cool dealer options are hinged quarter windows in 63., fog lamps 61,back up lights 61, headlight flasher in 63, twin horns in 61, revolution counter (tach) in 64, heated rear window (no year), all of these accessories are in a hard bound binder listed as technical bulletins and come with complete in instuctions for installation with all part numbers. the book also has alot of stuff for type 1 and 2. like front hinged windows or safari windows for IIs and tonneau covers for bug and ghia convertibles. also for the people wondering about the support hinges part #000-062-301 which is the accessorie to fold down the back seat into a bed is an approved vw accessorie and is very slick ive had a set for 8 years and didnt know how to install it untill a buddy fond a set in the box with instructions and all in original box. the unit folds your seat down into 2.1m or 82" total length. all the bracket does is give the back seat, seat bottom a second pivot point, instead of just lifted upright. it ( the seat bottom) up like normal and then out and the bracket gives support from below. also the two front seats must be moved forward to give the seat bottom enough room. if any one is still not sure i can snail mail a copy of the instructions, sase if so desired. please include some change to pay for the copy. since im in the the middle of restoring my 66 square variant and right now im spending way to much for the rubber seals. as does everyone else. also im looking for a few things for my restoration like: a speedwell side body badge - new door latches and srikers also side and rear hatch locks with matching keys ( rear hatch can be a different key, ill hit a lock smith) and last but not least rear wrap around reflector base seals.(chrome base to body). all these items must fit a 66 variant. also wanted is a new variant emblem. if you have any of these parts e-mail me at strtbug@ibm.net thanks Jonce 66 squareback 66 bug 56 singlecab
